Here’s a thing to do. Write a post every day about my struggles with Japanese. Each one will be called “Today in Japanese study.”
This morning, I forgot to bring along my gold list book, so I didn’t study at all.
That’s a cop-out, and I knew it at the time. I was using the lack of study material as an excuse to avoid study. To avoid the hard work.
That’s where what people like Steve Kaufmann seem to be making sense. Read things that interest you, he says.
Well, I’m interested in science-fiction. And U.S. politics. What writing is there in Japanese on that, I don’t know.
Of course, I should be able to find out. That’s on me. To get the motivation levels to a level where I can actually try and do the initial reading and research.
